ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM OF CONSTRUCTION WORKS

We implement coordinated and effective environmental protection measures during construction. We achieve this by making links with the project management system.

For large-scale construction projects such as road development, environmental mitigation measures and post-project surveys are required, on basis of the Environment Impact Assessment document. In the environmental management system that we propose for construction projects, the overall plan and management organization scheme is prepared at the beginning of the project to promote consistent management throughout the project’s life.

In the following phases, annual plans are prepared and implemented and environmental management is based on P-D-C-A cycles, as explained below. To enhance the awareness of stakeholders, various programs, such as the preparation of handbooks/manuals and holdings of environmental training, can also be included in projects. Environmental management is planned with links to the overall project management so as to strictly control project schedule and budget. The link is effective as a countermeasure against risks of delays and problems attributed to environmental issues.
